Because, it is not possible to confirm in advance who will get nomination from Nandail. 


It so happened that some people were nominated, about whom the people of Nandail did not even care. Even the nominee did not know in advance that, he was getting the nomination. 


It is not like that a minister from Nandail became a state minister. Even in fifty-three years of independence, no one from Nandail could become a minister. Who knows, maybe even in the next hundred years, no one from Nandail will be able to become a minister.

Even there are many people who do not stay in Bangladesh. There are many people from Nandail who have been in Europe, America, or Australia for the last 10-15 or 20 years, who are waiting like us to know who is getting nomination from which party in Nandail. 


Each party will nominate Nandail according to their choice, it is entirely up to each party. 


But as a citizen, I would say that no one should consider himself to be the ruling zamindar of Nandail after being nominated. And do not consider the people of Nandail as his subjects. 


And don't start badmouthing politicians from his past after getting nominated, conflict is guaranteed. 


We are the people of Nandail. We do not do politics for personal reasons. Furthermore, we want civil services. 


The new leader or the old leader who gets nominated from Nandail should serve everyone along with him. 


Whether he is expatriate or Swadeshi (he lives in the country), old leader or new leader, everyone should be involved in public service. 


It should never be done like this, start saying, “So-and-so became MP, so-and-so became MP, they did not serve you. Now I am an MP. I will serve you and make you float.” Such a statement definitely caused a conflict in Nandail. 


Yes, it is normal to have groupings in political parties. And in the ruling party, grouping happens normally. It's up to each party. 


But grouping is not a matter for the masses. Rather, public service is the main thing for the public. 


So, whoever gets nominated from Nandail, he should take everyone and serve the people. 


Because, it is never possible for one person to serve so many people.

“ময়মনসিংহ জেলার নান্দাইল আসনে মনোনয়ন অনেক রহস্যময় ব্যাপার।” 


কেননা, কখন যে নান্দাইল থেকে কে মনোনয়ন পান, সেটা আগে থেকে নিশ্চিত করে বলা সম্ভব হয়না।


 এরকম হয়েছে যে, এমন কিছু মানুষ মনোনয়ন পেয়েছেন, যিনির ব্যাপারে নান্দাইলের জনসাধারণ কোন চিন্তাও করেননি। এমনকি যিনি মনোনয়ন পেয়েছেন তিনিও আগে থেকে জানতেন না যে, তিনি মনোনয়ন পাচ্ছেন।


এরকম না যে, নান্দাইল থেকে মন্ত্রী প্রতিমন্ত্রী হন।স্বাধীনতার তিপ্পান্ন বছরেও নান্দাইল থেকে কেউ মন্ত্রী হতে পারেননি। কে জানে, হয়তো আগামী একশো বছরেও নান্দাইল থেকে কেউ মন্ত্রী হতে পারবেন না।

যেহেতু নান্দাইল থেকে কেউ মন্ত্রী হয় না, সেহেতু প্রত্যেক জাতীয় নির্বাচনে কে কোন দল থেকে মনোনয়ন পাচ্ছেন, সেটাই হয় আমাদের কাছে একটা বিরাট ব্যাপার।


 মনোনয়ন পাওয়ার কিছুদিন আগে থেকেই আমরা অপেক্ষায় থাকি কে নান্দাইল থেকে মনোনয়ন পাচ্ছেন, সেটা জানার জন্য।


 আবারো এসেছে জাতীয় নির্বাচন। এই নির্বাচনে সকলেই অপেক্ষায় আছে জানার জন্য যে, কে কোন দল থেকে মনোনয়ন পাচ্ছেন। এমনকি যিনিরা নান্দাইলে থাকেন না, নান্দাইলের বাইরে থাকেন জীবন জীবিকার জন্য, তিনিরাও অপেক্ষায় আছেন জানার জন্য যে, কে কোন দল থেকে মনোনয়ন পেতে যাচ্ছেন।


আমিও এ পর্যায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। কেননা আমিও অনেক বছর যাবত নান্দাইলে নিয়মিত থাকি না। জীবন জীবিকার জন্য নান্দাইলের বাইরে অবস্থান করি।


 এমনকি অনেক মানুষ আছেন, যিনিরা বাংলাদেশে অবস্থান করেন না। নান্দাইলের অনেক মানুষ আছেন যিনিরা বিগত 10-15 অথবা 20 বছর যাবত ইউরোপ, আমেরিকা অথবা অস্ট্রেলিয়াতে আছেন, তিনিরাও আমাদের মতো অপেক্ষায় আছেন জানার জন্য যে, নান্দাইলের কে কোন দল থেকে মনোনয়ন পাচ্ছেন।


 প্রত্যেক দল নিজেদের পছন্দমতো নান্দাইলের মনোনয়ন প্রদান করবেন,এটা একান্তই প্রত্যেক দলের নিজস্ব ব্যাপার। 


কিন্তু একজন নাগরিক হিসাবে আমি এটা বলব যে, মনোনয়ন পেয়ে নিজেকে কেউ নান্দাইলের শাসক জমিদার মনে করবেন না। আর নান্দাইলের মানুষকে নিজের প্রজা মনে করবেন না।


 এবং মনোনয়ন পেয়ে আপনার অতীতের রাজনীতিকদের দুর্নাম বলা শুরু করবেন না, এতে সংঘাত নিশ্চিত।


 আমরা নান্দাইলের জনসাধারণ। আমরা কোন ব্যক্তিগত কারণে রাজনীতি করি না। আমরা চাই নাগরিক সেবা।


নতুন নেতা অথবা পুরাতন নেতা যিনিই নান্দাইল থেকে মনোনয়ন পান, তিনির উচিত সকলকে সাথে নিয়ে সেবা করার।


তিনি প্রবাসী হন অথবা স্বদেশী (তিনি দেশে থাকেন), পুরাতন নেতা হোন অথবা নতুন নেতা, প্রত্যেককেই সাথে নিয়ে জনসেবা করা উচিত।


 এরকম করা কখনো উচিত না যে, এটা বলা শুরু করা,‘আগে অমুক এমপি হয়েছিলো, আগে তমুক এমপি হয়েছিলো, ওরা আপনাদের কোন সেবা করে নাই। এখন আমি এমপি হয়েছি। আমি আপনাদেরকে সেবা করে একেবারে ভাসিয়ে দেবো।’ এ ধরনের বক্তব্য দিলে নান্দাইলে নিশ্চিতভাবে সংঘাত হয়ে যায়।


হ্যাঁ, রাজনৈতিক দলে গ্রুপিং থাকাটাই স্বাভাবিক। আর ক্ষমতাসীন দলে স্বাভাবিকভাবেই গ্রুপিং হয়ে যায়। এটা প্রত্যেক দলের নিজস্ব ব্যাপার।


কিন্তু জনসাধারণের কাছে গ্রুপিং কোন বিষয় না। বরং জনসাধারণের কাছে জনসেবাটাই হচ্ছে প্রধান বিষয়।


তাই নান্দাইল থেকে যিনিই মনোনয়ন পান, তিনির উচিত সকলকে সাথে নিয়ে জনগণের সেবা করা।


কেননা, এতো এতো মানুষের সেবা একজনের পক্ষে কখনোই সম্ভব না। 


তাই সকলকেই সাথে নিয়ে জনসেবা করা উচিত।এভাবেই আমরা নান্দাইলের মানুষ জনসেবা পেতে পারি। ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
